What happens next?

Simon Smith, our RISE Co-ordinator  will visit all the new referrals within two weeks.  We will inform the referer as to the progress of the client and will do our best to ensure that the new client's needs are catered for within our centre.  For some clients, it is their preference simply to be visited and we are actively looking for new volunteers to visit our clients who do not attend the Centre on a regular basis.  For others, we will refer them on to other Centres.

Membership

We do ask Clients to pay £1 per week for membership which goes towards the overall running costs of the project and they are given a Membership Card.   All clients are given a card on their birthday and entertainment is usually free.  Any outings or trips to the theatre etc is paid for in full by the client and a small charge of £2.50 is made for transport.

Transport

If clients need transport, we will charge them £2.50 for a return journey.  Regenerate-RISE has a Section 19 permit which allows us to make a charge towards the cost of running the minibus.  Clients do have to be able to transfer from the wheelchair to a seat or have to be able to use the drop down step or the tail lift.  Whilst using the minibus seatbelts have to be worn at all times.  An escort is always provided on the bus to help clients from their home to the bus and when they arrive at the Centre.
