Fundraising and Future Events

Regenerate-RISE is grateful to Wandsworth Council for the funding for RISE SW15, to the Miles Trust and Pest Houses Fund for their continued giving and to the many individuals and companies that donate towards RISE meeting the needs of the isolated elderly currently in South West London.

Regenerate-RISE is also grateful to the volunteers who give of their time freely to visit our clients who are often housebound or in hospital and is also grateful to Hillsong Church for their work in decorating the Platt Christian Centre, putting on parties for our clients and recruiting volunteers.

If you would like to give regularly to the work of Regenerate-RISE please contact us for a Standing Order and Gift Aid Form. Any donations and sponsorship are very welcome as we are dependent on voluntary income.  If you would like a presentation on the work of Regenerate-RISE please contact us .

If you would like to organise a fundraising event, please contact us and a fundraising pack will be sent to you.

Hall and Partners gave the members of RISE a great tea party, providing entertainment by a Pearly king and providing prizes for Bingo before handing out home made cakes by the staff of Hall and Partners.  It was a great afternoon, full of singing and laughter.  Hillsong London Church came with us to take 8 members to Marks & Spencers at Brooklands and the members said they hadn't enjoyed a shopping trip for years.  The fourth picture is from an outing to Garsons Farm in Esher - one of our favourite outings.

Event in the Tent: 3 and 4 July 2010

During the Event in the Tent on 3 and 4 July, we held a charity Bingo session for 90 local pensioners and also enjoyed dancing to Robbie and enjoying tea and cakes.  The event was held in the marquee on the Green in Danebury Avenue over the two days with 320 pensioners enjoying a free banquet, entertainment by Grandpa's Spells and Steve Pierre.  This is the sixth time we have held Kings and Queens and the general opinion was that it was the best ever.  The event was supported by Hillsong Church who provided 80 volunteers to help the day run smoothly.  We were very grateful to Darren Millar of Sainsbury's for providing the majority of the food, to londis for providing the drinks bar, to Grant Gigg for his BBQ at The Angel and security in the marquee over ngiht, to the Pest Houses Fund for their contribution and also to Melville Exhibitions for the provision of tables and chairs.  It was a brilliant and memorable day for all our guests - thank you to all those who made it such a success.

For our daily programme of events, please see our RISE SW15 Programme.
